Gaz and Marty's Greek Moussaka recipe
Journey to the land of the Parthenon, Moussaka, Apollo, and bouzoukis.
According to our friend Spyro, Moussaka was invented in Miletus in 450BC by an Auto electrician called Fotios. There was an accident involving a speeding cheese wagon, a cow and a volcano. Not sure about this story. We had drunk a lot of Ouzo at the time. There was something about a Feta-mobile, but it was late and Spyro wasn’t making a lot of sense by that stage.
However it was invented, Moussaka remains one of the most beloved of all Greek foods, so we hope you’ll enjoy this recipe as much as we do.
